Read More	Michael William Kahler Sr. was born to William Henry Kahler and Shirley Elizabeth Campbell Kahler on May 15, 1954, at Lincoln and passed away January 18, 2006, at the Fillmore County Hospital in Geneva, Nebraska at the age of 51 years, eight months and three days. He was one of five children in the family. Mike grew up in Fairmont and graduated from Fairmont High School. He was employed at Tyson Foods in York. At the time of his death, he was living in Geneva. Mike was marred to Marian Faye Hall of Exeter, on May 10, 1975, and to them six children were born. Mike enjoyed fishing, hunting and going to farm sales to buy old iron and machinery to salvage and then resell. He also enjoyed his time on the farm, being with the animals and walking the dog. Mike liked to spend time with his children playing football and basketball when he had the time. He could also be seen at the Figure 8 races and demo derbies which were some of his favorite things to do. He liked watching old movies, court t.v. shows and playing cards with the kids after school. He is survived by his wife Marion Faye Kahler of Geneva, sons Michael W. Kahler, Jr. of Sutton, Matthew James Kahler of Geneva, Mark Alan Kahler and Marshell Brian Kahler, both of Fairmont; daughters, Mellissa Faye Miller of Crocker, Mo., and Melinda Sue Kahler of Geneva; parents William and Shirley Kahler of Fairmont; brothers, Tom Kahler and Pat Kahler both of York; sisters , Ellen Moul of Fairmont and Linda Crays of York. Funeral services were conducted from the Farmer & Son Funeral Home in Geneva on Saturday, January 21, with Rev. Lynn Strandt officiating. Musical selections for the service were "Amazing Grace" and "The Old Rugged Cross." Casket bearers were Don Beck, Melvin Griess, Duane Huber, Delbert Miller, Gary Opfer and Bob Shroyer.
