Description	:	Shirley Elizabeth Kahler was born to Lee Campbell and Hulda Lierman Kahler on June 2, 1933, at Waco, and passed away December 15, 2008, at the Nebraska Heart Institute in Lincoln at the age of 75 years, six months and 13 days. She was one of three children in the family. Shirley attended and graduated from York High School in 1952. She had a career in child care and cleaning services. Read More	Shirley Elizabeth Kahler was born to Lee Campbell and Hulda Lierman Kahler on June 2, 1933, at Waco, and passed away December 15, 2008, at the Nebraska Heart Institute in Lincoln at the age of 75 years, six months and 13 days. She was one of three children in the family. Shirley attended and graduated from York High School in 1952. She had a career in child care and cleaning services. Shirley was married to William Kahler of York on August 17, 1952, and to them five children were born. Shirley enjoyed time sewing, crocheting and having game time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed baking breads, rolls, and goodies for the family. She had just recently moved to the York Leisure Home where she met new friends and enjoyed bingo and social time. Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Hulda; husband Bill; son Mike; and brother, Don Campbell. She is survived by her sons, Patrick Kahler and friend, Jennifer Kelch and Tom Kahler and wife Lynette, all of York; daughters, Ellen Moul and Linda and husband, Lee Crays, all of York; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services for Shirley were held on December 18 at the Fairmont Community Church with Pastor Art Phillips officiating. The recorded selections of "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Amazing Grace" were played for the service. Pallbearers for the service included Patrick Kahler, Jr., Mike Kahler, Jr., Mark Kahler, Tim Kahler, Marshall Kahler, and Matt Kahler. Honorary bearers were William Moul, Crystal Moul, Shelby Crays, Julie Campbell, Bernice Mach and Breanna Miller. Interment was held in the Fairmont Public Cemetery. The Nebraska Signal Daughter of Lee and Hulda (Liermann) Campbell. Married William Kahler on August 17, 1952. Lot owner: William Kahler.
