Description	:	Mickey Lee Kramer was born July 28, 1940 in Holyoke, the son of Vernon O. and Opal E. (Thomas) Kramer. He attended grade school at Fairview School and graduated from Holyoke High School with the Class of 1958. On September 21, 1958 he was united in marriage to Gwen E. Read More	Mickey Lee Kramer was born July 28, 1940 in Holyoke, the son of Vernon O. and Opal E. (Thomas) Kramer. He attended grade school at Fairview School and graduated from Holyoke High School with the Class of 1958. On September 21, 1958 he was united in marriage to Gwen E. Rudder at the Holyoke Methodist Church. They lived in Holyoke and Mickey worked for Darwin Kleve. In 1959 he began working for Dale O'Neal and Leben and Kramer doing carpenter and cement work. He started his own business in 1960 as a painting and building contractor. He built several new homes in Holyoke and painted many buildings and homes throughout northeast Colorado and western Nebraska. On February 15, 1964 they purchased the farm southeast of Holyoke where they continued to reside. Mickey, together with his father and four brothers, farmed and raised cattle as well as ran a feedlot. Mickey was very active in 4-H and had served as a leader. He helped form the first horse drill team which performed at the Phillips County Fair for many years. He served as treasurer of the Holyoke Community Federal Credit Union for several years and held the offices of president and vice president of the Phillips County Farm Bureau for several terms. He served on the Farm Bureau State Beef Board. He was a member of the Holyoke Masonic Lodge and a charter member of the Wray Elks. Mickey departed this life on January 3, 1990 at the Aurora Humana Hospital in Denver at the age of 49. Survivors include his wife, Gwen Kramer of Holyoke; two daughters, Rebecca Oliver and husband Randy of Holyoke and Julie Tonsing and husband Mark of Merino; his parents, Vernon and Opal Kramer of Holyoke; four brothers, Roger Kramer and wife Mary Beth, Garry Kramer and wife Lynda, Randy Kramer and wife Karin and Byron Kramer and wife Kimberlee, all of Holyoke; two sisters, Joanne Wieland and husband Russell of Longmont and Joyce Martin of Holyoke; his mother-in-law, Eileen Rudder of Holyoke; his brother-in-law, Earl Rudder and wife June of Holyoke; two grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his nephew, Todd Michael Kramer and his father-in-law, Earl Rudder, Sr. Funeral services were held Saturday, January 6, 1990 at the United Methodist Church in Holyoke with Rev.
