Description	:	Milbert was born on the family farm near Leduc, Alberta. At the age of 12, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior, was baptized, and became a member of Leduc First Baptist Church. On June 22, 1941, Milbert married Irene Hiller. The couple was to be married on June 19th, but heavy rain prevented guests from traveling to attend the wedding at the Rabbit Hill Baptist Church. Milbert and Irene developed their own farm in the Rabbit Hill area of South Edmonton near Irene's childhood home. Much of the land had brush that had never been cleared for farming.... On June 22, 1941, Milbert married Irene Hiller. The couple was to be married on June 19th, but heavy rain prevented guests from traveling to attend the wedding at the Rabbit Hill Baptist Church. Milbert and Irene developed their own farm in the Rabbit Hill area of South Edmonton near Irene's childhood home. Much of the land had brush that had never been cleared for farming. Milbert spent many hours clearing the land, often by hand, in order to develop it so that it was suitable for farming. He developed a dairy herd on this farm together with other types of animals. After 35 years of farming on the same piece of land, Milbert and Irene sold the land and moved to Camrose in December 1976. This was to be their "retirement home," but Milbert continued to be part of farm life as he worked together with his son Harvey on his new farm near Bawlf. In subsequent years, Milbert and Irene enjoyed some of the fruits of retirement by purchasing a motor home which allowed for short camping trips to different parts of Western Canada, as well as trips to places further away such as the southern states and to the east coast of Canada. Milbert enjoyed driving and seeing new areas when the opportunities were available. In 2003, Milbert's health began to deteriorate due to heart problems. He subsequently moved to the Louise Jensen Centre in Camrose where he remained until his death.
