Mildred Caroline Gertrude Blunck, daughter of Louie and Dora (Pruess) Blunck was born November 20, 1914 at Eden Valley, near Plainview, Nebraska. She was baptized June 27, 1915 at Pierce, Nebraska. She received her education at the Kemma School northeast of Creighton. After she left school she helped her parents on the farm. She married Herbert C. Reisz on July 12, 1951 at Creighton. Two children, Linda and Robert, were born to them. They farmed northeast of Creighton until moving into town in 1976. She loved being outdoors, raising her chickens and taking care of her garden. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were a special joy in her life. In 2002 she became a resident of the Creighton Care Centre. Mildred died April 20, 2007 at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton, SD. Survivors include her children, Linda & Warren Risinger of Orchard, NE and Robert and Beth Reisz of Creighton, NE; six grandchildren, Laurie & Scott Race and Allen & Katie Risinger of Pierce and Angie, Jeremy, Jason and Johnathan Reisz of Creighton; and three great-grandchildren, Ashley, Hailey and Tyler Race of Pierce.
