Survivors include her husband Clifford of Minden, Nebraska; son, Bill Fries and his wife, Diane, of Franklin, Nebraska; daughter, Marcie Knispel and her husband, Mike, of Minden, Nebraska; brother, Glenn Splattstoesser Sr. and his wife, Lucy, of Franklin, Nebraska; and sister, Marjorie Beck of Franklin, Nebraska. Survivors include her husband Clifford of Minden, Nebraska; son, Bill Fries and his wife, Diane, of Franklin, Nebraska; daughter, Marcie Knispel and her husband, Mike, of Minden, Nebraska; brother, Glenn Splattstoesser Sr. and his wife, Lucy, of Franklin, Nebraska; and sister, Marjorie Beck of Franklin, Nebraska. She grew up in the Franklin area and graduated from Franklin High School. She and her husband lived in Franklin, Nebraska . In 1965, they moved to Minden, Nebraska. She worked at Minden Paint and Sporting Goods for many years and was an Avon representative in the Minden area for 25 years. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Minden, the LWML of the church and was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Unit 94 of Minden for 42 years. She loved to cook and bake for her family and friends. She was especially known for her wedding and birthday cakes. Her great-grandchildren fondly referred to her as "Great-grandma Cookie." She loved family gatherings, and great food was always involved. She was preceded in death by her son, Bob Fries who died Sept. 21, 2007; brothers, Walter and Harold; and sister, Maxine Plank.
