Description	:	Born to Edward J and Cora E Gay at the ranch home in Cherry county, 26 miles southeast of Gordon. Mildred was the first of three children. Mildred graduated from Gordon high school in 1931 and taught in rural schools three years before she was unified in marriage to Glenn Virgil Tryon on June 1, 1935. Read More	Born to Edward J and Cora E Gay at the ranch home in Cherry county, 26 miles southeast of Gordon. Mildred was the first of three children. Mildred graduated from Gordon high school in 1931 and taught in rural schools three years before she was unified in marriage to Glenn Virgil Tryon on June 1, 1935. To this marriage four children were born. They spent the first 20 years of their marriage on the Marie Dam farm southeast of Gordon. After selling their farming interests, they moved to Gordon where Glenn operated the Enco gas station for several years. Mildred was a long time member of the First Presbyterian church and Princess Rebekah Lodge where she is a Past Noble Grand. Mildred died January 23, 1988 as a result of a fall at her home while she was shoveling snow from her sidewalk. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Cora Gay, her husband Glenn V. Tryon. Surviving, her brother Joe Gay of Oklahoma City and sister, Avah (Gay Nyffler) McConnell of North Platte, all four children, 21 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren and many relatives and friends.
