Humboldt Union, 18 May 1922 Thur, page 7 Mildred Estelle Noyes, eldest daughter of Ira Noyes and Elmira Jane Wheatley-Noyes, was born July 16, 1881, on the farm where her parents now reside five miles southeast of Humboldt. She departed this life May 8, 1922, at the home of her sister, Mrs Harry Jones, at Morris, Okla. With the exception of a few short periods her life was spent on the farm with her parents. Her character was above reproach. No sacrifice was too great for her if thereby her loved ones were made happier. Her entire life was spent in promoting the welfare of others. During the later years of her life her health gradually failed. The last hours were as peaceful and serene as her life had been and the close was as one quietly falling asleep. She was affiliated with the Methodist Episcopal church of which she had been a member for twenty years. In addition to her parents of the home address the following relatives survive: Two brothers, Orrin W Noyes, Kansas City, Mo., and Ralph E Noyes, Memphis, Tenn.; and three sisters, Mrs Mabel H Noyes-Jones of Morris, Okla, Mrs Hazel E Noyes-Severns of Cody, Nebr., and Mrs I Zelle Noyes-Severns of Ranger, Texas. Her brother Ralph was detained at home on account of sickness in his family and her sister, Zelle, was unable to reach home on account of floods. All other members of the family were home for the funeral services which were conducted by Rev E E Satterlee at the M. E. church at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon and interment was in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
