Her funeral service is scheduled for Tuesday, February 17 at 11 a.m. at Bethel Baptist Church, Powers Lake. Burial will be at Nasareth Cemetery. Her funeral service is scheduled for Tuesday, February 17 at 11 a.m. at Bethel Baptist Church, Powers Lake. Burial will be at Nasareth Cemetery. Mildred (Jorgenson) Lindberg was born on September 21, 1918 on a farm seven miles southwest of Powers Lake to Oscar and Charolette (Lottie Breding) Jorgenson. She attended a country school for six years near the farm. Later on she attended school in Powers Lake and graduated from high school in 1938. Her family moved off of the farm in 1929 and her father ran a Pool Hall and Bar in Powers Lake. Mildred attended Bethel Baptist Church and when she was fourteen years old, she was baptized and became a member. In 1940, she married Marvin Lindberg. Both Mildred and Marvin were twins! They lived in Palermo for a short time and then moved to a farm nineteen miles northeast of Powers Lake. They had four children, Clynton, Dwight and twins Marilyn and Marlene. Marvin and Mildred farmed for forty-five years and retired in 1985 and moved into Powers Lake. Marvin passed away in June of 1988. When they lived on the farm, they attended church in Lostwood at First English Lutheran Church, but in 2005 when the trip to Lostwood each Sunday became too difficult, she transferred her membership back to Bethel Baptist in Powers Lake. Mildred was very active in the Senior Citizens Center in Powers Lake. She enjoyed playing cards a great deal. In her later years, she lived with her daughter, Marilyn and also in several nursing homes. She is survived by her children: Clynton (Donna) Lindberg, Dwyght (Sandra) Lindberg, Marilyn (John) Albertson and Marlene (Dallas) Johnson; twelve grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marvin; twin brother, Clifton and brothers, Lavern, Leroy and Orlynn; sisters, Hazel and Ruby. Adapted from Springan Funeral Home obituary
