She was born August 8, 1925, in Huntington, W.Va., a daughter of the late Hanley C. and Alta K. Patrick Petry. Until her retirement, she was employed by Church Layman Mutual Insurance Company. Read More	MILDRED K. DYER, 78, went to be with our Lord, March 15, 2004. A lifelong resident of Huntington, W.Va., she spent the last six years in McKinney, Texas, with her daughter, Pat. She was born August 8, 1925, in Huntington, W.Va., a daughter of the late Hanley C. and Alta K. Patrick Petry. Until her retirement, she was employed by Church Layman Mutual Insurance Company. A member of Trinity Church of God, formerly Fifth Avenue Church of God, she was involved in their music programs and was church organist for 52 years. Her love and loyalty to her family and friends will never be forgotten. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth D. and Carl B. Petry; husband, John M. Dyer; and a son, Johnny A. Dyer. She is survived by her daughter, Pat Pluskota Dyer; daughter-in-law, Emma Lou Dyer; a sister-in-law, Hilda Dyer Hayes and husband John; five grandchildren, John A. "Bear" Dyer, Tara K. Dyer, Theresa Gunter, John Richard Pluskota and his wife, Michelle, and Laura Pluskota. She was also the proud great-grandmother of two, Joshua and Jacob Gunter. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Chapman's Mortuary with Rev. Ralph G. Sager officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. Friends may call after 1 p.m. Saturday at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington.
