She was born April 14, 1930 in Davis County to Lloyd Elmer and Esther Irene Wager Overturf. She married Raymond Francis Mottet June 21, 1950. She was a member of St. Paul of the Apostle Catholic Church. Surviving are her husband, three sons, James L. (Kathleen) Mottet of Newburgh, Ind., John M. (Deb) Mottet of Forsyth, Mo. and William C. Mottet of Richmond, Va.; three daughters, Linda R. (John) White of Anchorage, Alaska, Barbara J. (James) Brooks of Houston, Texas and Debra S. Mottet of Salem, S.C.; seven grandchildren, Kimberly, Christina and Clinton White, Beverly and Victoria Mottet and Jennifer and Douglas Brooks; three great-grandchildren, Mackenna, Brooke and Brenna; a brother Robert I. Overturf of Davenport, Iowa; three sisters, Thelma M. Lindsey, Alice M. Young and Janice R. Pickrell all of Ottumwa. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Stephen F. Mottet and an infant daughter, Mary Mottet. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Rev. John Spiegel officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will begin after 11 a.m. Wednesday at Reece Funeral Home. A Christian Wake service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday followed by family visitation until 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.
