She was born August 22, 1930 in Ottumwa to William Henry and Mildred Agnes Denning Babb. She married Kenneth R. Cassatt on August 21, 1948. Mildred was a 1948 graduate of Ottumwa High School. She was a great cook, baker and a loving mother, grandmother and wife. She was as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside. Surviving is her husband, Kenneth; her children, Kenneth R. (Mona) Cassatt of Milan, IL, Kathy Sue (Larry) McClurg of Rio Rancho, NM, Patricia Ann (Craig) Voss and Wendy (Paul) Wallace both of Ottumwa; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Danny Lee Cassatt; 2 sisters, Myrtle Bates and Darlene Patrick and a brother, John Babb. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Shane Frazier officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery. Visitation begins at 2 p.m. Friday with the family present from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday. Memorials may be made to Care Initiatives Hospice or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
