Visitation was from noon to 7 p.m. Tuesday, August 13, at Tennant Funeral Home, with Vigil and Rosary evening service at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial was at 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 14, at St. Catherine's Catholic Church, Iliff, with the Rev. Wojciech Gierasimczyk celebrating. Interment will followed at Riverside Cemetery. Mildred was born March 13, 1930, in Iliff to Ralph and Veronica (Schell) Kaiser. Mildred married Julio Marostica on June 28, 1949, in Iliff. Mildred worked for the postal system 23 years starting in 1970. She spent 18 years as clerk at the Iliff Post Office and five years as Postmaster in Crook. Mildred lived in Crook for two years, then moved to Iliff in 1990. She retired from the Postal System in 1992. She was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church, Iliff CO NAPUS, St. Anne's Circle, Active in Share CO, Senior Citizens of Iliff, and volunteered at the Information Center. Mildred is survived by children, Kathy Kaufman and husband Joe of Sterling, Jackie Wagner and husband Steve of Sterling, Rick and wife Pam of Greeley, Bill and wife Susan of Iliff, JR and wife Suzy of Iliff, Randy and wife Carol of Yuma, Dan and wife Sarah of Gering, Neb., Michele Marostica of Eaton; 20 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; sisters, Magdalen Santamaso of Sterling, Marge Zink of Iliff, Mary Jean Groves of Orchard, brothers, Jim Kaiser of Othello, Wash. and Adrian Kaiser of Sterling; and sister-in-law, Barbara Kaiser of Sterling. She was preceded in death by her husband Julio, mother and father, Ralph and Veronica Kaiser; brothers, Alex Kaiser and John Kaiser; sisters, Sister Micheal and Barbara Gertner; baby Johnny Kaiser. Memorials may be made to St. Anthony School in care of Tennant Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1547, Sterling, CO 80751.
