Description	:	Miles J. Bingham, 79, retired carpenter passed away at his home, last Wednesday. Funeral services were held Saturday, July 13 at the Ackerson Funeral Home at 2:00 p. m. The Rev. K. Oliver Brekke officiataed. Burial was in the Groton cemetery. Margaret and Myrtle Blader sang a duet, “The Old Rugged Cross” and “In the Garden,” accompanied by Mrs. Robert Wegner, organist. He came to South Dakota as a young man and was married to Susan Jerman on June 19, 1913 at Pierpont. The young couple farmed for many years east of groton. In 1936, the family came to Groton, where Mr. Bingham did carpenter work. He retired two years ago. He was a member of the United Methodist church and was a past member of the Odd Fellows. He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, a son in infancy and one brother, Guy. Mr. Bingham is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Ivan (Mildred) Zoellner, rural Groton and a brother, Scott, Groton. Ackerson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
