Description	:	Milford G. Parker, son of Andrew J. and Louisa Parker, was born March 22, 1878, at Union City, Pa. When he was a lad of six, he came with his parents to Iowa, settling at Corning. He resided in that locality until 1908, when he came to Nebraska, settling at Fairmont, where he resided until his passing. He served three years in the Philippine Islands during the Spanish-American War. February 16, 1911, he was united in marriage to Anna Murrell. Parker, son of Andrew J. and Louisa Parker, was born March 22, 1878, at Union City, Pa. When he was a lad of six, he came with his parents to Iowa, settling at Corning. He resided in that locality until 1908, when he came to Nebraska, settling at Fairmont, where he resided until his passing. He served three years in the Philippine Islands during the Spanish-American War. February 16, 1911, he was united in marriage to Anna Murrell. To this union were born three children, Mrs. Muriel Granere of Grand Junction, Col., Harold Parker of Fairmont and Mrs. Pearl Fleharty, also of Fairmont. He was the youngest and the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was a fine upstanding member of this community. During his youth, he united with the Presbyterian Church. He was a kind and loving husband and father. He had been in failing health for some time. His final summons came at Lincoln, Neb., Wednesday night, March 30, 1955, at the age of 77 years and 8 days. He leaves his wife and companion of many years, the three children, eight grandchildren besides a number of more distant relatives and a large circle of friends. The memorial services were conducted at the Kritner-Ashby funeral home in Fairmont April 2, at 2 o'clock by Dr. Charles B. Hankins, minister of Grace Methodist Church of Fairmont. Interment was in the Fairmont Cemetery. The Nebraska Signal April 1955. Son of Andrew J. and Louisa Parker. Spanish American War Veteran, Company C, 15 Iowa Cavalry. Came to Fairmont, Nebraska in 1918. Lot owner: Ed Murrell.
