He was born June 6, 1946 to Oliver William (Jim) Angel and Myrtle May (Partch) Angel in Yakima, Washington. Read More	Millard Eugene Angel Keith & Keith Funeral Home YAKIMA - On December 24, 2007 the world lost a memorable, one-of-a-kind person, Millard Eugene Angel. He was born June 6, 1946 to Oliver William (Jim) Angel and Myrtle May (Partch) Angel in Yakima, Washington. Millard grew up in Gleed and also lived in Packwood, Post Falls and Port Angeles working primarily in the logging industry. Because of his love of the water and fishing the peninsula, Port Angeles was second home. Most of our family vacations surrounded fishing, camping, and supporting his family interests and activities. Millard and Colleen were married on September 12, 1981 in Pomeroy, WA and enjoyed 26 years of marriage together. They have lived in Yakima throughout their marriage. Millard working primarily in the logging industry as a faller and then a Perry Tech graduate electrician followed by a 17 year career at the Hanford site as an substation electrician and held his Washington State Electrical Administrator license. I hope that all who knew him will reflect on memories that each of you hold. Above everything else he loved his wife, his kids, his faithful dog, Princess, and the love of the outdoors and fishing. He was a memorable person and held integrity and honesty as his highest values. You always knew where Millard stood as he was direct and frequently brutally honest. The last several years Millard's health issues challenged him, and he bravely dealt with diabetes, renal failure / dialysis and lung cancer. Throughout his adversities he always said, "Don't feel sorry for me as I have had a full life. There are others who are worse off than me." He is survived by his wife Colleen Angel of Yakima, 3 sons, Jesse (Marie) Angel of Tacoma,, Brett (Angie) Angel of Bothell, and Kevin Angel of Yakima, grandsons Thomas and Justin., his 94 year old mother, May Angel, sister, Ellen Graber of Portland and numerous nieces and cousins. Millard was preceded in death by his son, Thad Thomas Angel and his father, Jim Angel. The family would like to thank Millard's lifelong friends Bill and Terry, his primary physician and friend, Dr. Mike Maples, the ever supportive and concerned Davita (dialysis) staff and doctors, third floor Memorial Hospital staff and Crescent Health Care Center supporting his care through the journey. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Association or the American Diabetes Association c/o Keith & Keith Funeral Home, 902 W. Yakima Ave Yakima, WA 98902. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 27 and Friday, Dec. 28 at Keith & Keith 9th Ave Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, Dec, 29, 2007 at Terrace Heights Memorial Park. Memorial services will follow beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Stone Church.
