She was born on March 18, 1913 to George and Belle Partch in Sunnyside, WA. She was the 6th of 10 children in a family known for their musical talents. Read More	May Angel (Partch) Keith & Keith Funeral Home YAKIMA - May Angel (Partch) passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at the age of 95. She was born on March 18, 1913 to George and Belle Partch in Sunnyside, WA. She was the 6th of 10 children in a family known for their musical talents. May graduated from Sunnyside High School in 1933. After which she and her sister, Martha, went to work packing fruit at Big Y in Gleed. Here she met Jim Angel. They were married in 1937 and made their home in Gleed. Their daughter, Ellen was born 1939 and son, Millard, in 1946. In earlier years, May was very active in her church, teaching Sunday School, singing in the choir and participating in various women's groups. She was the family historian, and for many years she and Jim hosted the Annual Partch Reunion at their home in Gleed. One of which, was attended by approx. 100 family members. Many will tell you about her wonderful chicken and noodles, cinnamon rolls, sugar and carrot cookies. Jim passed away in 1974 and May stayed in Gleed until 1996 when she then moved into Yakima. In May 2007, she moved into Ponderosa Retirement Ctr., where she lived until her passing. May lived her life for her family. She kept busy with her knitting and crocheting. Her kitchen scrubbers and dishcloths were a favorite with family and friends. May is preceded in death by her husband Jim; son, Millard; grandson, Thad Angel; her parents; brothers, Homer, Dave and Earl; sisters, Bea Garwood, Esther Perry George, Dora (died at age 4), Martha Olson and Georgiabelle Lyon. She is survived by her daughter, Ellen Graber of Portland, OR; daughter-in-law, Colleen Angel of Yakima; grandchildren, Stephanie Kresse, Angela (Brian) Hanen and Julie Ann Vu all of Portland, OR, Jesse (Marie) Angel of Tacoma, Brett (Angie) Angel of Seattle and Kevin Angel of Yakima; honorary granddaughters, Wendy Wickersham of Yakima and Carrie Ellen Mullinnex; brother, Ed (Gloria) Partch of Yakima; sister-in-law, Laura Partch of Yakima; brother-in-law Mickey Lyon of Yakima and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Visitation will be Friday, May 2nd from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Keith & Keith 9th Ave Chapel. Graveside Service will be Sat., May 3rd at 10:00 a.m. at Terrace Heights Memorial Park. Memorial Service will be Sat, May 3rd at 1:00 p.m. at West Side Baptist Church. Memorials in her honor can be made to the American Diabetes Assoc, Kidney Assoc. or Cancer Society.
