Wilson in Minburn, Iowa. She came with her parents to South Dakota at the age of 16 years. They settled on a farm southeast of Stickney. On April 2, 1908, she was united in marriage to Andrew Toft. They made their home on a farm southeast of Stickney. To this union were born seven children: Mrs. Herman (Gladys) Nowak and Tom Toft, both of Stickney; John Toft, Corsica; and Mrs. Matt (Marie) Kais, Mitchell; and two sons and a daughter who preceded her in death. Mrs. Toft assed away unexpectedly at her home, Sunday, October 14, 1973. She was confirmed in the Lutheran faith at St. Paul's on December 13, 1936. She was a faithful member of St Paul Lutheran Church. She leaves to mourn, her children: Herman and Gladys Nowak, Tom and Tillie Toft, John and Goldie Toft, Matt and Marie Kraus; four grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew, in 1936, her parents, two infant sons, a daughter, two grandsons (one in 1967 and one in 1971), two brothers, and a sister.
