Feb. 11, 1998, at Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll with pastor Charles Haake officiating. Feb 10, 1998 - Carroll Times Herald - Milo Baak, 89, of Carroll died Sunday, Feb. 8, 1998, at St. Anthony Nursing Home in Carroll. A funeral service for Mr. Baak will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. Feb. 11, 1998, at Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll with pastor Charles Haake officiating. Burial will be in Carroll Cemetery with military honors by Maurice Dunn American Legion Post No. 7 of Carroll. Friends will call from 5 to 7 tonight at the funeral home. A son of William C. and Minna (Schluter) Baak, he was born Jan. 28, 1909, at Carroll. He graduated from Carroll High School then served in the Army during World War II. After the war he returned to Carroll and worked at Carroll Candy Kitchen, was a ticket taker at the Carroll theater and later did handyman work. Mr. Baak was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and Maurice Dunn American Legion Post No. 7, both of Carroll. Survivors include a sister, Josephine Baak, of Brayton, Fla.; and, two nieces: Vi Ayers of Centerville and Leona Boje of Kalamazoo, Mich. Mr. Baak was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Harrieta Boje; and a brother, Clarence Baak.
