Voelker, 90, of Eldora, formerly of Reinbeck, died Saturday, Sept. 24, 2005, at Ellsworth Municipal Hospital, Iowa Falls, of congestive heart failure. He was born Oct. 23, 1914, in Farmersburg, son of Edward and Celinda Mohrman Voelker. He married E. "Alice" Friederich on June 4, 1937, in Elkader. She died Jan. 17, 1998. Voelker, 90, of Eldora, formerly of Reinbeck, died Saturday, Sept. 24, 2005, at Ellsworth Municipal Hospital, Iowa Falls, of congestive heart failure. He was born Oct. 23, 1914, in Farmersburg, son of Edward and Celinda Mohrman Voelker. He married E. "Alice" Friederich on June 4, 1937, in Elkader. She died Jan. 17, 1998. He graduated from Farmersburg High School in 1932 and farmed for several years in the West Bend area. Mr. Voelker then worked as a mechanic for Gehringer Chevrolet in Reinbeck, Clark Chevrolet in La Porte City, and then as a mechanic for School Bus Sales in Waterloo. Survived by three sons, LeRoy (Lois) of Minneapolis, Fred of Arroyo Grande, Calif., and Lyle (Lynette) of Waterloo; a daughter, Yvonne (Bill) Bellows of Waterloo; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Don (Dorothy) of Ames; and a sister, Marie Hendrickson of San Diego, Calif. Preceded in death by two brothers, Howard and Gerald; two granddaughters; and a great-grandson. Services 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Johns Evangelical Lutheran Church, Reinbeck, with burial at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Elgin Cemetery, Elgin. Friends may call for an hour before services Wednesday at the church. Creps-Abels Funeral Home, Eldora, is in charge of arrangements. Memorial fund has been established in his name.
