Description	:	The funeral for Milton Boom, 84, Valley City, was conducted May 30, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Valley City with Rev. Dr. Michael Holmberg-Smith and Rev. Lawrence Rydquist officiating. Interment was in Memory Gardens. He died Saturday, May 24, 1991, in a Fargo hospital. Mr. Boom was born March 2, 1907, at Alto, WI, the son of Evert and Antoinette (Kastein) Boom. He moved with his family to Litchville, ND where he grew up and received his education in a rural school. Interment was in Memory Gardens. He died Saturday, May 24, 1991, in a Fargo hospital. Mr. Boom was born March 2, 1907, at Alto, WI, the son of Evert and Antoinette (Kastein) Boom. He moved with his family to Litchville, ND where he grew up and received his education in a rural school. He worked as a farm laborer for a time. He married Olga Erickson October 11, 1930, at Litchville. The couple moved to Valley City in 1942, where he was employed as a machinist at the Russell-Miller Milling Co., at the North Dakota State Highway Department and Arkota Industries. During that time, he also owned and operated his own automotive repair service. They continued to make their home in Valley City after he retired. He is survived by his wife, Olga; four sons, Murl, Center; Robert, Burnsville, MN; Dennis, Hillsboro, OR; and Roger, Bozeman, MT; five daughters, Jean Jorgenson, Fargo; Edith King, Newark, CA; Lorraine Saunders, Chandler, AZ; Ellen Koslofsky, Bozemen, MT; and Nancy Boom, Mesa, AZ; 23 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
