Description	:	The funeral for Olga Boom, 80, Valley City, was conducted, March 20, at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Dr. Michael Holberg-Smith and Rev. Lawrence Rydquist officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens in the spring. She died Wednesday, March 17, 1993 at a Valley City hospital. Olga Erickson was born April 26, 1912, at Lake Wilson, MN, the daughter of Anton and Ellen (Moen) Erickson. She moved with her family to the Litchville, ND area in 19116, where she grew up and received her education in area rural schools. She worked as a telephone operator in Marion for a year. She married Milton Boom October 11, 1930, at Litchville. After the marriage, she worked as a housekeeper for Mr. and Mrs. Fred Aandahl for two summers, Land-O-Lakes, Mac’s Café and the kitchen at Mercy Hospital for 15 years. She retired in 1978. The couple had made their home in Valley City since 1942. Mr. Boom died in 1991. She is survived by four sons, Murl, Center; Robert, Burnsville; Dennis, Hillsboro, OR; and Roger, Bozeman, MT: five daughters, Jean Jorgenson, Fargo; Edith King, Newark, CA; Lorraine Saunders, Chandler, AZ; Ellen Koslofsky, Bozeman, MT, and Nancy Boom, Mesa, AZ; a sister Alma Lynch, Valley City; Three brothers, Ivan Erickson, Kirkland, WA, Ralph Erickson, Valley City; and Harold Erickson, Litchville, 23 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
