Description	:	Mimi Wilhelmina Nyquist was born the 8th of July 1908 in Isabella, Dela, Michigan to Wilhelm Oscar and Anna Marie (Lanng) Nyquist. Her parents coming from Sweden and Denmark. Mimi's family moved to Almont, North Dakota in September of 1918. They lived on a small farm eight (7) miles south of Almount for two years. Mimi attended country schools in Isabella and Almount. Read More	Mimi Wilhelmina Nyquist was born the 8th of July 1908 in Isabella, Dela, Michigan to Wilhelm Oscar and Anna Marie (Lanng) Nyquist. Her parents coming from Sweden and Denmark. Mimi's family moved to Almont, North Dakota in September of 1918. They lived on a small farm eight (7) miles south of Almount for two years. Mimi attended country schools in Isabella and Almount. They moved into Almount and she finished grade school and high school there. Mimi went to college in Valley City, North Dakota. She started teaching in the fall of 1927, at the Mars School #4. Mimi taught rural schools for 12 years. She married Oscar Emil Hoger on the 27th August 1928 in Mandan, North Dakota. Oscar and Mimi had two children: Audrey Lorraine was born the 11th of May 1930 and Glyn Harlo was born the 28th of August 1932. Their country home has been a home for many teachers who taught in school across the road or in the district. Dick Owen and Harold Voll each stayed (boarded and roomed) with us for four years and they named the place "Hogerville" and the home place still that name. In 1974 Oscar and Mimi bought and remodeled a house in New Salem and they reside there part time. Mimi Wilhelmina Nyquist Hoger passed away on July 25, 2000.
