Mo. where other relatives from Stokes/Forsyth Co NC lived as well, and where they lived for a number of years. Minerva had been residing with her daughter, Paulina "Poleener" M. Walker and her son-in-law, Robert W. Walker in Klickitat Co. WA. for about 10 years at the time of her death. Her husband, William McMillan died and is buried in Missouri. Children were John W.P. McMillan--19 in 1870 census, living in Cooper Co. Mo. (Kelly twp. Otterville P.O.) James S. McMillan--17; Frederick W. McMillan--15; Robert G. McMillan--10; Henry Clay McMillan--8; and Martha E. McMillan--6. Her daughter, Mary Ann--was 21 at the time, married to Joseph E. Crews--22. Their oldest child, Mary Ann turned out to be my gr-grandmother. (Note: Some people say that the last name is spelled as McMillian. But in all census records---Minerva's obit---and on her daughter Mary Ann's tombstone----the name is always McMillan.) Additional information was found on her son Frederick, who was shown in the 1920 census for Chicago, Ill. as being 65 years of age, a clerk in a department store, with a wife, Leona, who was 54. A son, Norman, 19, was living with them, and was shown as a clerk at a packing house. .
