Hudson, at Spring Hill, Ia., Nov. 21, 1907, in the good old age of seventy-six years, one month and twelve days. She was twice married and left a widow. Her first marriage was to Anthony M. Hudson, at Spring Hill, Ia., Nov. 21, 1907, in the good old age of seventy-six years, one month and twelve days. She was twice married and left a widow. Her first marriage was to Anthony M. Hudson, which took place in the year of 1869, in Indiana. To this union were born two sons. Her husband died in 1880. Her second marriage was to Jacob Hook which also took place in Indiana near Eden, on the 24th day of the year 1889. A year after this marriage they came to Iowa and settled near Commerce. Here Mr. Hook died on the 4th day of March 1897. When young she was converted and united with the Quaker church of her home place, after her union with Mr. Hook she transferred her relation to the U. B. church near Eden, Ind. She was a good woman. Faithful to her children, her home, and her God. She leaves her two sons with their families and many friends and acquaintances to mourn her departure. Services were held at the house where the writer addressed the gathering from the words. "Our friend"—"Sleepeth" John 11:11. After this service the remains were laid away in the Webb cemetery. # # # Mrs. Hudson, an old settler of this county, passed away Thursday morning at 6:30. She was making her home with her son, Mr. William Hudson, who lives in Spring Hill, aged 76 years, 1 month and 12 days. Rev. Van Dyke preached a short sermon at the home Friday morning at 10 o'clock after which her body was laid to rest in the Webb cemetery.
