She was able to spend those years enjoying and being present in her home. Three days prior to her death, she suffered a heart attack. To this union was born one... Read More	BALOUN, MINNIE A.—Minnie A. Baloun of Geneva passed away November 19, 1970, at the age of 65 years, 2 months and 6 days. She suffered a severe stroke nearly eight years ago. She was able to spend those years enjoying and being present in her home. Three days prior to her death, she suffered a heart attack. Minnie was born September 11, 1905, to Joseph and Anna Schropfer of near Ohiowa. She spent her girlhood on their farm. March 4, 1924, she was united in marriage to Fred Baloun of Geneva. To this union was born one daughter, Mareldine (Mrs. Ansel Maw). Mrs. Baloun received the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Saviour in 1949, according to John 3:16 and John 1:12. Her deep abiding faith and love for Him was revealed by her gentle, sweet and kind Christ-like character. In the years following her stroke, she endured her handicap with great courage and patience. She brought much joy and happiness to her family and all who knew her. She leaves to mourn her passing her devoted husband, Fred; her daughter Mareldine; son-in-law Ansel Maw; four grandchildren, one great-grandson, four sisters, Mrs. Rose Fisbeck, Mrs. Harry Mussman (Tillie), Mrs. Herman Matthies (Lydia) and Mrs. Thomas Braden (Elizabeth); three brothers, William, Gus and Herman (Jim) Schropfer, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. The funeral service was at the Kritner-Farmer funeral home at 2 p. m. Saturday, November 21. Rev. Jon Ruthven of Lincoln and C. W. Mersch of Geneva officiated. Mrs. Robert Rudell of Lincoln sang “Ivory Palaces” and “God Understands.” Mrs. J. M. Ruthven of Lincoln was accompanist. Pallbearers were Kermit and May Mussman, Jesse and Louis Schropfer, Max and Dale Schropfer. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery. The Nebraska Signal 26 November 1970
