Description	:	Having been in failing health for over five years, Minnie Glowik of Lennox died unexpectedly on Friday evening, Nov. 24, 2000, shortly after arrival at Avera McKennan Hospital, Sioux Falls, SD. She attained the age of 86 years, four months and 19 days. Mrs. Glowik was the mother of Mayona Glowik and the sister of Matilda Poppens, both of Lennox. Minnie Brinkmeier Glowik was born on a farm south of Lennox on Jul. 5, 1914, a daughter of Harm and Catherine (Smit) Brinkmeier. She grew up in the Lennox-Marion areas and attended Lennox and Marion public schools. She lived on farms east of Lennox and near Beresford, subsequently moving into Lennox in 1966, where she had since made her home. Preceding her in death were her mother on Dec. 12, 1967 and her father on Jul. 23, 1959. Besides her daughter and sister, those grateful for having shared her life include two nephews: Dennis Poppens and his wife Judy of Lennox, and Wayne Poppens and his wife, Vonnie of Larchwood, IA.
