Description	:	Minnie Caroline Christine Niermann (as printed in the Polk Progress 07-19-1962) Minnie Caroline Christine Niermann; nee Vogt, was born in Hamilton County on October 21, 1881, to John and Friedrike Vogt. On November 20, she was baptized by the Rev. Burger. She attended Christian Day School and was confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church, Hampton. She entered the holy state of matrimony with Ernest A. Niermann on March 10, 1904. To this union seven daughters were born. Most of their life was spent on the farm having moved to York in retirement in 1946. She... Read More	Minnie Caroline Christine Niermann (as printed in the Polk Progress 07-19-1962) Minnie Caroline Christine Niermann; nee Vogt, was born in Hamilton County on October 21, 1881, to John and Friedrike Vogt. On November 20, she was baptized by the Rev. Burger. She attended Christian Day School and was confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church, Hampton. She entered the holy state of matrimony with Ernest A. Niermann on March 10, 1904. To this union seven daughters were born. Most of their life was spent on the farm having moved to York in retirement in 1946. She was in failing health since 1954. On last April 28th she suffered a heart attack and was hospitalized. She entered her eternal rest on July 1 at about 4 a.m. having attained the age of 80 years 8 months and 9 days. She was preceded in death by her husband who passed away on July 8, 1959 and also by her parents, 4 brothers and 2 grandsons. Survivors include her daughters: Mrs. Ewald Klingsporn of Polk; Mrs. Edmund Klingsporn of Hordville; Mrs. Earl Waak of York; Mrs. Roy Heiden of Benedict; Linda Nierman of York; Mrs. Louis Heiden of Stromsburg, Mrs. John Hoffman of Omaha; 15 grandchildren, 10 great grand-children; a brother Dr. Henry Vogt of Anaheim, Calif., and many relatives and friends. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, July 3, 1962 in the Emmanuel Lutheran Church at York with Rev. Marvin Gruett officiating. Interment was in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Polk. Asleep in Jesus! Blessed sleep, from which none ever wakes to weep; A calm and undisturbed repose, Unbroken by the last of foes.
