Minnie Francis Seger was born Oct 10,1901, the oldest child of Gustav and Millie Banks Seger of Atkinson. She grew up at the family farm northeast of Atkinson. After graduation from Wayne Teachers College, she taught school at Hoskins, and also in rural Holt County Schools. On Nov 10,1938 she was united in marriage to Rex Beckwith of Emmet. The couple resided near Emmet and were moving to Atkinson. Mrs Beckwith was a member of the Methodist Church at ONeill, She joined the Atkinson Extension Club in 1950 and also belonged to the South Side Club. Mrs Beckwith was a kind, loving wife and friend. Survivors include her husband, Rex; two sisters, Mrs Vernon (Elizabeth ) Keeney and Mrs LaVerne (Theresa) Beckwith of Boulder, Colorado. And many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Mrs Ralph (Myrtle) Beckwith, and three brothers, Henry Seger of California; Harold and DE, both of ONeill.
