The services were conducted from the home of her eldest son, Jay Baily, by Rev. O.E. Tell. Mrs. Baily had suffered with heart trouble for a number of years and her passing came as the result of an attack from which she suffered only a few days. She passed away at the home of Mrs. William Corkill, where she has lived for some time. Minnie Hanscom was born at Platteville [sic], Wis., on Nov. 19, 1863, (several census records show her birthdate a 1861 and born at Mineral Point, IA) and much of her girlhood was spent at this place. Later she removed to near Maurice, Iowa, with her parents [sic]. In 1889 she was united in marriage to Richard Baily and in 1904 the family came to Parker, which has since been her home. Three children were born to this union, Jay, Robbin and Walter, all of whom survive and who with their families were present for the final rites. She is also survived by a sister Miss Eva Hanscom of Tacoma, Washington and by seven grandchildren. Mr. Baily preceded her in death on September 28, 1926. Mrs. Baily was a member of the Presbyterian Church, the Order of the Eastern Star, and the American Legion Auxiliary. All three of her sons served in the World War, a fact of which she was justly proud. Her trials are a thing to be remembered by her host of friends as an example and an inspiration. Mrs. Burt Johnson and Mrs. Art Heyder sang two of her favorite hymns, "The Little Brown Church" and "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere" during the final services. She was laid to rest beside her husband in Rosehill Cemetery. The pallbearers were Wm. Lakings, J.N. Stout, Tom Keehn, L.L. Fleeger, H.E. Jones and Frank Howdle.
