Description	:	Mrs. W.C. Rhea, 86, passed away May 12, 1972 in the Blue Valley Lutheran Home, Hebron, Nebraska. Daughter of Wm. H. and Amelia TenBroeck, Minnie Inez was born Oct. 22, 1885 near Deshler and lived most of her life in Thayer County. In 1892 the family moved to a farm north of Chester. To this union were born four children, one son, Willie E.,... Read More	Mrs. W.C. Rhea, 86, passed away May 12, 1972 in the Blue Valley Lutheran Home, Hebron, Nebraska. Daughter of Wm. H. and Amelia TenBroeck, Minnie Inez was born Oct. 22, 1885 near Deshler and lived most of her life in Thayer County. In 1892 the family moved to a farm north of Chester. She graduated from Chester High School in 1902, after which she taught in Thayer County Schools. On Jan. 8, 1905, she was united in marriage to Joseph A. Allsman of Chester. To this union were born four children, one son, Willie E., passing away in infancy. They resided in Thayer and Fillmore counties and Lincoln until November 1950 when they moved to Big Spring, Tex., to live with their daughter. Mr. Allsman passed way on March 24, 1951. With the exception of two years residence in Babson Park, Fla., Mrs. Allsman continued living with her daughter and family until July 5, 1959, when she was married to William C. Rhea of Chester. Mrs. Rhea has always been active in church and Sunday School work. She was a member and one time county president of the Women's Christian Temperance Union, the first Thayer County Women's Home Extension chairman, organizer and leader of Home Project and 4-H Clubs, and served as a member of the Thayer County Farm Bureau Board. During World War II she taught in country schools. At the time of her death, Mrs. Rhea was a member of the United Methodist Church of Chester, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 289, Chester, and a member of Supreme Forest of Woodmen Circle of Omaha. Survivors include her husband, W.C. Rhea of Chester; one daughter, Mrs. Paul F. Soldan (Wauneta) of Big Springs, Tex.; two sons, Everett M. Allsman of Fairfax, Va., and Marion F. Allsman of Beatrice; one sister, Mrs. W.J. Luttich of Beatrice; one brother, Wm. G. TenBroeck of Fairbury; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 16, at 2:00 p.m. from the United Methodist Church with the Rev. Opal L. and Rev. Norman L. Crounse officiating. Mrs. Jack Long and Mrs. Maurice Mitchell sang accompanied by Mrs. Dolan Frye organist. Casket bearers were Gerald Huckins, Fred Schreiber, Elijah Mumm, W.W. Williams, Earnest Dunn, Jack Sell. Interment was in the Chester Cemetery, Bachelor-Faulkner-Dart Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.
