She was therefore lacking but seven days of having reached the age of forty one years at the time of her death which occurred on last Monday afternoon at her home on West Fourth street in Spencer. When but a girl at the age of nlne years she came with her parents to Clay county, Iowa, and has since made this her home. She was united in marriage on Oct. 4, 1904, to M. E. Chase of Spencer. Their home was the birthplace of three children, all boys, Clifford; Guilford and Eugene Charles. Besides her three children and her husband Mrs. Chase leaves three brothers and two sisters to mourn her loss. Herman and Ernest Reamer of Sigmore, Illinois, Mrs, Bretha Lawrence of Grand Rapids, Minn., Mrs. Anna Gruchow and Frank Reamer both of Montevideo, Minn. Mrs. Chase was a faithful wife and devoted mother. Her particular sphere of activity and the one 1n which she found most joy was in caring for the home. Here she presided with all the graces of a good mother in caring for her children. Her death was unexpected and is the more disappointing, leavings as she does her precious babe, Eugene Charles, but five days of age. Though we cannot explain it all, we can only believe and trust that in some way the all wise Father knoweth what is best, and that he will in some way care for the little one and give his blessing and comfort to those, the other members of the family. In the light of eternity all that may now seem dark and obscure will be as light and as clear as the day. Until then we will not only wait, we will also walk in comradship with Him. Funeral services were conducted from the Cobb funeral home on Christmas morning at ten thirty by the pastor of the Methodist church. Interment was in Riverside cemetery.
