Read More	Havre Daily News (MT), 30 April 1931 Gildford Woman Severely Burned By Flaming Gas The old story of gasoline used to hurry a fire has brought Mrs. Ernest Beecher, of the Gildford vicinity, to the Sacred Heart hospital suffering from severe burns on the body. Wednesday night her husband wished an early supper that he might start on an errand, and the gasoline was used to hasten the fire. The can exploded sending the flames over the woman, who was badly burned before they could be extinguished and her clothes removed. Her husband describes the journey to Havre as "most terrible." Nearly all her body is burned, her arms, legs, back and one foot being particularly bad. Yet the physicians hold out hope that few of the burns are of extreme degree. Mrs. Beecher's face was little touched, and her hair merely singed. Usual opiates were powerless to quiet the patient, who was given rest through the use of chloroform. Mrs. Ernest Beecher Laid to Rest from Church at Gildford; Many Friends Attend Gildford, May 6--Funeral services were held at the Baptist church Monday afternoon for Mrs. Ernest Beecher, who passed away Friday at a Havre hospital after being severely burned a couple days before. The church was more than filled with sorrowing friends who came from far and near to pay their last respects to a friend and neighbor who will be greatly missed. ---- Wife of Earnest Beecher.
