Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday from the Lutheran church here with the Rev. David Svennungsen officiating. Burial will be in the local cemetery beside her husband who died in 1925. Mrs. Hokanson was born July 6, 1870, in Germany, and came to the United States when she was 16 years old, going at once to White Sulphur Springs, Mont. She was the daughter of Henry and Anna Osterman. She married Christian Hokanson in Jan. 1887, at White Sulphur Springs, living there until 1893, when they came to the Bear Paws, settling in the Warrick territory. She had lived since the death of her husband in the mountains, except for a visit with a daughter in Oregon, from which she returned in March. For much of the time since she had been ill. Mrs. Hokanson is survived by six children: Mrs. Andrew E. Wilson of Havre; Nels Hokanson, Warrick, the son with whom she lived since the death of her husband; Mrs. Ruth Lovinger, Fort Benton; Mrs. Detlof Mikkelson, Warrick; Mrs. Thomas Murray, Havre; Mrs. Dan Raymond, Baker, Ore.; and by a brother, Herman Osterman, Big Sandy, and a sister, Mrs. Fred Miller, Martinsdale, Mont.; and sixteen grandchildren.
