Description	:	GWYNN - Minnie R. Williams joined her heavenly Father on Sept. 12, 2009, with her family by her side after a brief illness. She was born on Sept. 24, 1924 and was a lifetime resident of Gwynn's Island, Va. Minnie was a member of Gwynn's Island Baptist Church. She retired at the age of 80, after serving 33 years of dedicated service at Wroten Oil Company, Inc. She was preceded in death by her husband, Presley Williams; grandson, Kenny Williams Jr.; parents, George Vernon and Addie Diggs Rowe; sisters, Christine Holloway and Emma Lee Knight; and brothers, Wilson, George Vernon Jr.... She was loving, faithful and dedicated to her family and friends. She is survived by her daughter, Shirley W. Hudgins and her husband, William Bailey of Gloucester; her son, Kenneth W. Williams and wife, Margaret of Hartfield; grandchildren, Tammy Ballantyne and husband, Glenn, and Brad Hudgins and wife, Pam; great-grandchildren, Maggie and Molly Ballantyne, Bailey and Braden Hudgins; sisters, Della Forrest, Eleanor Stevens, Ruby Akins and husband, Bill; brothers, Jack and Shelton Rowe, all of Gwynn. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2009, at Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home, Mathews, Va. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Gwynn's Island Cemetery.
