Description	:	"In Chanute, Kansas, Saturday February 9, 1901 at 11:45 p.m. after a lingering illness of several months, Minnie Wright, aged 17 years, 2 months and 13 days. The deceased was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John P. Wright, a loveable girl, and who will be missed by her many friends for her loving traits of character. The funeral was held Monday at the M.E. Church, the Rev. I.B. Pulliam conducting the obsequies, and she was laid to rest in Elmwood cemetery. Gone but not forgotten." Wright yesterday at the M.E. Church was the saddest service the town has heard in many a year. Rev. Pulliam chose for his text, "I have finished the work thou gavest me to do"--John 17:4 and with simple touching eloquence, he moved the vast audience to tears. The songs were of her own choosing: "It Is Well With My Soul", "Rock of Ages", and "Not Too Late". The church was filled with loving friends many of whom were her old schoolmates.
