She quietly passed away on the evening of November 26, 1935, at the home of her mother in Chester, Nebr., after a short illness of only two weeks. She was united in marriage to John E. Duey, September 1st, 1931, at Belleville, Kans. To this union were born two children, Donald Lee, aged 3 years, and Verna Carol, aged 10 months. She was united with the M.E. church (sic) at Hubbell, in 1927, and later transferred her membership to the M.E. church (sic) at Chester, where she held her membership to the time of her death. She was a faithful and earnest worker for the cause of Christ, always ready and willing to do her duty when called. She is survived by her husband and children, her mother, Mrs. Nola Durham of Chester, one brother, Vernon Durham of Mason City, four sisters, Mrs. Ethel Anstice of Lusk, Wyo., Oral West of Mason City, Fannie Maxson of Narka, Kan., and Mrs. Zetta Cromwell of Munden, Kan., and a host of other relatives and friends. Her father preceded her in death four months and five days. One brother, Roy Durham, who was a member of the A.E.F. is buried at Surresnes, France. She was a kind loving wife and mother, always thinking of the welfare and comfort of her family first of all. She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed in the home and community.
