Vansell were held at the Congregational church Saturday afternoon at two o'clock, conducted by the pastor, Dr. Lewis Bookwalter. The large attendance showed that Mrs. Vansell was held in high respect and was much loved by the people of this community who have known her for many years. Myra Alice Vansell was born in Bloomingburg, Ohio May 23, 1854. She was the second child of Nathan and Jane Trimble. With her parents she came to Centerview, Mo. In 1868. She received her education in the public school of that community. At her home in Centerview she and Martin C. Vansell were married Feb. 23, 1882. Mr. And Mrs. Vansell came at once to Kansas and settled at Kenekuk. After living there one year they moved to the farm north of Muscotah which was their home until they moved to Muscotah in 1916. For nearly forty years this community has been their home and they have taken their part in the development of the country and town. Mrs. Vansell became a Christian in childhood and a few years after coming to this community she united with the Congregational church in which she has ever been a conscientious and faithful worker. Mr. and Mrs. Vansell are the parents of six children, two of whom preceding their mother in death. Ralph and Blaine were the two who passed away. The surviving children are Mrs. Lena Campbell of Kansas City, Kan., Ray who is managing the home farm, Mrs. Erma Whittaker of Nortonville and George who is a proffessor in the University of Kentucky at Lexington. Their daughter in law, Mrs. Nannie E. Vansell, is left to mourn her death. Mrs. Vansell leaves one brother, Harry Trimble, and two sisters, Miss Esoille Trimble and Mrs. Henry Kohnle, all living at Centerview, Mo. In the death of Mrs. Vansell the community loses one of its finest and most loved women. She was devoted to her family and to her home and as a wife and mother she was all that the words signify. She will be missed by all but the memory of her life will be held sacred and reverent by relatives and friends. Those from out of town to attend the funeral services were N. H. Trimble, Miss Estoille Trimble and Mss Maggie Kohnle of Centerview, Mo., Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Honnell of Kansas City and Miss Kittie Cummings of Hiawatha.
