Description	:	Miriam Byars Sayers, 90, a native of Goldendale, passed away March 11. Two inoperable cancers caused her death. Sayers was a twin daughter, born May 9, 1901 to William F. Byars, and Ada C. Nesbitt Byars, of Goldendale, both of whome are deceased. Miriam was a member of the United Methodist Church. Her brother, Alfred Theodore Byars, her oldest sister Azalea Byars Jacroux, and her oldest brother William Nesbitt Byars, preceded her in death. Read More	Miriam Byars Sayers, 90, a native of Goldendale, passed away March 11. Two inoperable cancers caused her death. Sayers was a twin daughter, born May 9, 1901 to William F. Byars, and Ada C. Nesbitt Byars, of Goldendale, both of whome are deceased. Miriam was a member of the United Methodist Church. Her brother, Alfred Theodore Byars, her oldest sister Azalea Byars Jacroux, and her oldest brother William Nesbitt Byars, preceded her in death. Surviving members of her family are her twin sister, Marguerite B. Allen of Sequim, Wash.; Josephine B. Claussen of Salem, Ore.; and her youngest brother Howard F. (Fleming) Byars of Seaside, Ore. As Sayers requested, her body was donated to the Oregon Donor Program for scientific research. A Memorial Service will be held at the United Methodist Church April 11, 1992. Interment was in the family plot of IOOF Cemetery with graveside services conducted by Evergreen Chapter No. 1, Order of Eastern Star. Pallbearers included Darrell Hanan, Gilbert Sheets, Harold Hill, Ray Hill, Leonard McKay and Jack Runyan. ------- Per Elmer Riley's obituary: Miriam married Elmer Riley on July 20, 1924. Elmer passed away January 19, 1927. There were no children born of that marriage.
