On his 1921 death certificate in Floyd County, IA, his father is listed as Pardon Hall. Miron's birth date is listed as October 10, 1851. Mrs. M. E. Hall was the informant, his wife. Myron is shown again as Miron Hall on the U.S. Army, Register of Enlistments, his birth year 1850 and birthplace as Vermont. He enlisted at Fort Snelling in the 20 Infantry and was discharged on July 24, 1879 as a Private from Ft Brown, Texas due a disability shown as a deep cut then illegible. Myron Hall does not appear in Iowa again and in no other records after this point so it assumed he died between Ft Brown Texas and Floyd County, IA from his "disability". Myron's mother, Melinda Lenora Oliver, was born in Plattsburg, New York. His father, Hiram E Hall, was born in Isle La Motte, Vermont.
