Description	:	Mona Joyce (Tanderup) Ricci, 92, a resident of Colorado Springs, Colorado passed from this life at her home with family by her side in the eternal presence of the Lord on January 20, 2020. Mona was the sixth child of twelve siblings born to George and Olga Tanderup on May 5, 1927 in Maskell, Dixon County, Nebraska. Read More	Mona Joyce (Tanderup) Ricci, 92, a resident of Colorado Springs, Colorado passed from this life at her home with family by her side in the eternal presence of the Lord on January 20, 2020. Mona was the sixth child of twelve siblings born to George and Olga Tanderup on May 5, 1927 in Maskell, Dixon County, Nebraska. She lived on a farm about a mile from the Missouri River as a young child. After the crash of 1929, the family moved to a farm about four miles southwest of the former farm to Cedar County. During the years of the Great Depression, the family moved and lived on a farm north of Obert, Nebraska. She was schooled at a one room school house from kindergarten until tenth grade. During WWII, there was a shortage of teacher and the school closed. She finished eleventh and twelfth grade in Hartington, Nebraska at the Hartington High School and graduated in 1945. Mona married Frank Dominic Ricci in 1952 in California. They moved to Denver, Colorado in 1953. Their only child, Ann, was born to them in 1957. In 1970 they moved to Seward, Nebraska where they owned "Dominic's" an Italian restaurant and tavern. From 1976-1979, she resided in Lincoln, Nebraska. She was a cook and kitchen manager of many restaurants throughout her life. In 1979, she moved to Oregon. In 1980, Frank and her moved to Junction City, Kansas to be near family. In 2006 they moved back to Colorado and lived there until her passing. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, husband, grandparents and eleven siblings. She is survived by her daughter Ann, son-in-law Steve and grandchildren, Melissa, Angela, and Jill. Great-grandchildren Lilly, Payton and Gage. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Boulder Street Church located at 828 E Boulder Street, Colorado Springs, Colorado.
