Description	:	Mrs. Moncie Rivers Grogan Joyce, 80, beloved mother, grandmother and friend, departed peacefully Sunday, June 28, 2015, at Jacob’s Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 1, 2015, at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Glenn’s Chapel Church Cemetery. Read More	Mrs. Moncie Rivers Grogan Joyce, 80, beloved mother, grandmother and friend, departed peacefully Sunday, June 28, 2015, at Jacob’s Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 1, 2015, at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Glenn’s Chapel Church Cemetery. Moncie was born on September 2, 1934, the daughter of the late Carl and Rosa Lee Grogan. She was a devoted member of Beaver Island Baptist Church. She enjoyed people, traveling, friends and family. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, as well as a friend to all who knew her. In addition to her parents, Moncie was preceded in death by her husband, Billy E. Joyce, and two brothers, Norman and Clifford Grogan. Survivors include her children, Jimmy Joyce and wife, Loretta, Robin Godbee, Randy Joyce and wife, Michelle, of Eden and Todd Joyce; brother, John Grogan; sister, Faye Goad; four grandchildren, Billy, Leigh, Conner and Tucker and three great-grandchildren, Macy, Kyann and Kristina. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Tuesday, at Colonial Funeral Home, and all other times at 3195 Ayersville Road, Mayodan, NC. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff and special, faithful friends for being so kind and caring to our mother at Jacob’s Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Memorial contributions may be made to Beaver Island Baptist Church, 3111 Ayersville Road, Mayodan, NC 27027. Colonial Funeral Home in Madison is serving the family.
