Born in Lonaconing on March 20, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Daniel L. Kenny Logsdon and Mary Mae (Barry) Logsdon. Born in Lonaconing on March 20, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Daniel L. Kenny Logsdon and Mary Mae (Barry) Logsdon. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Patsy Keyes and Eleanor Sheely; and two brothers, Jack Logsdon and Patrick K. Logsdon. Mrs. Mason was the administrator of Moran Manor, Westernport, and Avalon Manor Nursing Home, Hagerstown, and was the manager of Frostburg Heights Apartments, Frostburg. She was a graduate of Girls Central Catholic High School, Cumberland, Allegany Community College and Frostburg State University. She attended Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Dunedin, and was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Post 275, Dunedin, B.P.O.E. Lodge 1525, Clearwater/Dunedin, and Women of the Moose, Chapter 30, Palm Harbor. Survivors include her husband, Robert K. Mason, Lonaconing; two sons, R. K. Mason Jr., and Murray Mason, both of Frederick; one daughter, Cynthia Pearse of Palm Harbor; two sisters, Marianna Bootie McGreevy and Rita Hartley, both of Palm Harbor; four grandchildren, Michael and Kari Mason of Frederick, and Caitlin and Emily Pearse of Palm Harbor. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Saint Michaels Catholic Church, Frostburg, on Saturday, June 15, 2002, at 11 a.m. with Father Paul A. Byrnes as celebrant. Inurnment will be in St. Mary of the Annunciation Parish Cemetery, Lonaconing. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in memory of Monica L. Mason to: Mease Continuing Care, Attn. Michele Fortney, 910 New York Ave., Dunedin, FL 34698, for the establishment of a dedicated hospice room in the facility. The Eichorn-McKenize Funeral Home, Lonaconing and National Cremation Society, Largo, Fla., were in charge of the arrangements."
