Description	:	Mr. Monroe Stephen (Steve) Busch, 69, of Rowesville, died peacefully Saturday evening, April 20, 2013, at his residence, with his loving family at his side. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, April 27, 2013, at New Hope United Methodist Church, Rowesville. The Reverend Curtis Felkel and Chaplain Ken Hay will officiate. The family will greet friends following the service. Box 54, Rowesville, SC 29133 or to the Orangeburg League of the Arts, 129 Dido Dr., Cope, SC 29038 Born on November 15, 1943, he was a son of the late William Bruce Busch and the late Martha Nell Westbury Busch. He was a graduate of Clemson University, with a Bachelors of Science degree. Steve retired from Albemarle as a lab technician after 23 years of dedicated service. He had also worked at Greenwood Mills for 10 years. He was a member of the Orangeburg League of the Arts and winner of many awards for art in the Carolinas. He was a renowned Southeastern artist in the world of pen and ink drawing. His beautifully detailed artistic works are sought after by many collectors across the country. Steve presented his works at art shows under his business, The Art Depot. He was an active member of New Hope United Methodist Church, where he served as Past Chairman of the Finance Committee, former administrative board member, and currently served as Financial Secretary of the church. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served throughout Europe as a representative of the US Army band. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Patricia (Patsy) Holden Busch from Clemson; a daughter, Stephanie Busch Platt and her husband, Peter of Seneca, SC; a son, Adam Busch and his wife, Sara of Charlotte, NC; a sister, Lynnell Zissette of Denmark; his twin brother, Stan Busch of Elloree, and brother, Will Busch of Rowesville; three grandchildren whom he adored, Lily Platt, Hannah Busch, and Caden Busch; 11 nieces and nephews; and a host of friends who always knew Steve could be called upon to lend a hand.
