Description	:	Morgan J. Wallace, police judge in Concordia for many years, and a resident of this vicinity since 1871, died this morning at his home on East Fourteenth Street here. Mr. Wallace had been in failing health for some time but seriously sick only since last Friday. Mr. Wallace was 77 years old. He was born in Calhoun County, Michigan April 30, 1860, and came with his parents to a homestead eight miles southwest of Concordia in 1871. Wallace, police judge in Concordia for many years, and a resident of this vicinity since 1871, died this morning at his home on East Fourteenth Street here. Mr. Wallace had been in failing health for some time but seriously sick only since last Friday. Mr. Wallace was 77 years old. He was born in Calhoun County, Michigan April 30, 1860, and came with his parents to a homestead eight miles southwest of Concordia in 1871. As a son of pioneering parents, he had many interesting experiences as the country developed and was fond of recalling the life here in those early days. When a young man, he taught in the Wilcox school and also District 44. Mr. Wallace was married Jan. 31, 1881, to Kate Bryan. He had lived in the vicinity of Concordia since 1871 with the exception of seven years from 1894 to 1901. Which he spent in Oklahoma. He moved to Concordia in 1917 and had served as police judge here for 14 years. He served one term in the Oklahoma legislature while living in that state. Mr. Wallace had been a member of the Odd Fellows lodge here for more than thirty years and was a member of the Woodmen Lodge. Surviving him are these children: Mrs. Carrie Nelson, and Morgan B. Wallace of Concordia; Earl Wallace, of Great Falls, Montana, Bruce Wallace of Hemet, Cal.; and Dr. D. B. Wallace, of Belleville, Kans. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. His only sister, Mrs. Mattie Rice died in 1927. No funeral arrangements have been made.
