Description	:	Morgan Taylor Cruzan was born in Orlando, Rippley (sic) county (sic), Indiana, September 26, 1854, and passed away on March 14 at his home in Nelson, Nebraska, where he had resided for the past 21 years. Mr. Cruzan was married to Elizabeth B. Vance of Ossian, Iowa, December 31, 1878, who survives him: also one daughter, Mrs. Calla Ruttman of Nelson, and one son Dr. J.V. Cruzan of Plains, Mont.; one sister, Rachel Embre of Corvina, Calif.; besides several nieces and nephews; five grand children and seven great grand children along with a host of friends and neighbors who will miss him. Mr. and Mrs. Cruzan came to Nebraska in 1879, came to Cass county (sic), later to Saunders county (sic) and to Nuckolls county (sic) 31 years ago. Mr. Cruzan united with the Christian church when a young man and served and supported it all during his life. Funeral services were held from the Christian ihurch (sic) Tuesday afternoon by Dr. Wm. Oeschger of Wilcox, a former friend and pastor, assisted by the local pastor, Rev. C.M. Foust.
