Buchanan died last night at his home three miles northwest of this city. He was born June 9, 1849 in Ohio, and came to Nebraska City in 1873, and has since made his home in this vicinity. In the earlier days he was quite well known. He was a gentleman whom it was a pleasure to know and had many friends. He was a member of the Methodist church. The funeral will be Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Free Methodist church corner of Eighth street and First avenue. The cortege will leave the family home at 2 o'clock sharp.
