She d. of record May 1, 1796 at Belchertown, Mass., Æ 77 (g.s.) How a young man living in Northampton, Mass. would come to meet a young woman residing in west central Conn. is not readily explainable. However, in addition to being a physician Lydia's father was a Capt. during the French and Indian War period (1745-1760.) It is possible that Moses became acquainted with Lydia through her father during mutual military involvement in the French and Indian War period. The known family of Moses Hannum and Lydia Warner is recorded in the Belchertown vital records, with the associated dates recorded with the town clerk's comment "All of the above records are entered in Old Stile and to be considered in that light." This comment only applied to Moses and Lydia's dates of birth and marriage, but for the related impact see wife Lydia's memorial. The seven children of the family b. of record at Belchertown are: • i. Eunice Hannum, b. Oct. 2, 1749, d. Feb. 7, 1826 at Easthampton, Mass. (g.s.); m. Ephraim Danks, Jr., s. of Ephraim and Abigail Danks, b. circa 1743. He d. Mar. 23, 1824 at Easthampton. The number of children, if any, is presently unknown. • ii. Ruth Hannum, b. July 14, 1751, d. in Nov. 1793 per Easthampton, Mass. town records; m. Daniel Alexander by an intention pub. Dec. 16, 1770 in Pittsfield, Mass., he called of Pittsfield and she of Belchertown. They resided at least until 1773 in Pittsfield where two children were born but died in infancy. A Daniel Alexander is enumerated at Hadley, Mass. in the August 1790 census, and Ruth may have died at Hadley but buried at Easthampton due to sister Eunice's family being of Easthampton in the 1790 through 1810 censuses. The number of children is presently unknown. • iii. Mary Hannum, b. Feb. 27, 1753, d. in her youth July 7, 1764. • iv. William Hannum, b. May 18, 1755, d. Aug. 20, 1828 at Pavillion, NY, Æ 74 (g.s.); m. Nov 10, 1791 of record at Brookfield, Mass., Mercy Dodge, who d. Nov. 28, 1838 at Pavillion, NY, Æ 80 (g.s.) Four children of the family. • v. Moses Hannum, Jr., b. July 13, 1757, d. at Belchertown July 7, 1834, Æ 77 (g.s.); m. Oct. 23, 1780 Jerusha Parker, dau. of Elijah Parker and Martha Stiles, b. of record Apr. 23, 1757 at Coventry, Conn. She d. Nov. 27, 1851 at Belchertown, Æ 95 (g.s.). Three children of the family. • vi. Joshua Hannum, b. Oct. 1, 1759, never married and d. at Belchertown Mar. 11, 1824, Æ 65 (g.s.) • vii. David Hannum, b. Apr. 4, 1763, d. Oct. 31, 1848 at Pelham, Mass., Æ 86 (g.s.); m. by intention pub. Oct. 26, 1788 at Pittsfield, Mass., Elizabeth Barker, dau. of Theodocia Little and an unknown husband surnamed Barker, b. after Mar. 27, 1770 possibly at Pittsfield, Mass. She d.
