Even though there is no stone, I was told by the Lincoln District Office that Emily Purdy Johnson is probably buried beside Noble in Lot 5A, #8. It is owned by him. The 2 spaces that are to the east of Noble's grave and to the north of Celia Nicora Johnson are also owned by the Johnsons. There are no headstones on those 2 graves. I did not know they were owned by the Johnsons until I got out there and saw the map. Information provided by: NHans (#47587301) I too have contacted Peter Barmettler, the head of Placer County cemeteries about Emily Johnson. I have only found Emaline, which there is a memorial for. In my last correspondence with him regarding this, his reply was: "I don't have Emily Johnson on record as being buried in our District. Emaline Johnson is the closest sounding name I can find." There is no record of Emily PURDY JOHNSON being buried here next to her husband but cemetery records are not always correct or complete and I believe she is buried next to her spouse. Last Will of Emily Purdy Johnson October 9, 1886 , Pleasant Grove, Sutter County, California In the Name of God, Amen ---- I Emily Johnson of Pleasant Grove -- County of Sutter – State of California, of the age of Seventy Six years, and being of sound and disposing mind and memory, and not acting under duress, menace, fraud, or undue influence of any person whatever, do make, publish and declare this my last Will and Testament, in manner following, that is to say: ------FIRST, I hereby Constitude and appoint William Ewing Roberts of Pleasant Grove Sutter County California to be Sole executor of this my last will directing my said execution to pay all my Just debts of my late Sickness and funeral Expensis and the legacies hereinafter given out of my estate. -------- SECONDLY; After the payment of my late Sickness and Said debts and Funeral Expenses I give to my two daughter Sarah Middaugh and Ann Maria Roberts and My Son Milon Johnson and My Grand Son Louis Augustus Johnson all the rest and residue of my Estates real personal or mixed of which I Shall be entitled at the time of my decease I give devise and bequeath to be devided to among my two daughters Sarah Middaugh and Ann Maria Roberts and my Son Milon Johnson and my Grand Son Louis Augustus Johnson to be devided as follows to my Son Milon Johnson one fifth and to Sarah Middaugh one fifth & to Ann Maria Roberts two fifths and to my Grand Son Louis Augustus Johnson one fifth and to my Son Ezra Johnson the Sum of five dollars and to my two Grandchildren Ephriam Johnson and Sarah Augusus Ann Annernan the Sum of five dollars Each Lawfull Money of the United States of America.
