Arthur Morton, pastor of the church, having charge. Interment was made in the Villisca Cemetery. Mrs. Fisher died at 12:15 a.m. Thursday of last week at her home on First Street and Fourth Avenue, her death resulting from tuberculosis. Scott sang at the last rites, accompanied by Mrs. J. S. Honeyman at the organ. Six members of the fire department, of which Mr. Fisher is chief served as acting pall bearers and the other firemen were honorary pall bearers. Emma Lucille Wheeler was born January 22, 1899 at Sciola, Iowa, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Sumner Wheeler. Graduating from the Villisca High School with the class of 1918. Miss Wheeler also attended Iowa State University at Iowa for a year where she took a nurse’s training course. She then moved to Red Oak where for four years she was employed in the Murphy Calendar Factory as secretary to the late Chas. H. Murphy, superintendent. On December 17, 1924, she was united in marriage in Villisca with Paul Fisher and to them were born two sons, Donald Paul, age 8 and Hugh S., who preceded his mother in death. For several years following her marriage she was employed at various times as a reporter for the Review. Besides her husband and son, Mrs. Fisher also leaves her mother, Mrs. D. S. Wheeler of Red Oak, two brothers, Dennis Wheeler of Des Moines and Donald Wheeler of Clackamas, Oregon, and a sister Mrs. Lester Cropp of Council Bluffs, Iowa.
